Dress Code

Attendees/Primary Ticket Holder

This event is an EGL fashion event. Primary ticket holders are expected to be participants of an EGL fashion community or experienced EGL fashion enthusiasts.
(Accompanying guests are permitted to wear standard formal clothing. Please see the Accompanying guest dress code for more details.)

Attendee coordinates must be recognizeable as EGL or EGA fashion, and must follow the themes of the event (gothic, dark elegance, vampires, or other Halloween motifs). This event is a gothic/vampire lolita tea party, not a general Halloween/Costume event. As such, coordinates that incorporate a theme (for example, fairy, princess, animal-themed, etc.), but do not follow the event dress code, are not permitted. OTT is permitted, but please refrain from props that will interfere with other guests' seating. There is no place to store props. Please contact us directly if you have any questions about the dress code.

If you would like to attend the event but do not wear EGL, it is possible to be screened for entry. Please list (1) how you found out about this event, (2) who you personally know at this event. A staff member will contact you regarding your screening. Thank you for your interest and patience.

Accompanying Guest

An Accompanying Guest is defined as a primary ticket holder's "plus-one" ("+1"), who may be anyone, such as a companion, spouse, friend, parent, etc. Accompanying Guests are permitted to attend without participating in EGL/EGA attire. Formal wear is required. Please wear dress shoes, formal pants/skirts, collared shirts/dress blouses. There is a strict policy against costumes and costume-quality attire.

Dress Code Violations

Inappropriate clothing and clothing assumed to be inappropriate clothing by any staff member will result in the confiscation of a ticket, with no refund, and a ban from future events. Any staff member has the right to deny any attendee for any dress code violation, even if it is not explicitly written here.

Inappropriate attire includes, but is not limited to:
- Casual or non-formal clothing.
- Clothing with sexually explicit imagery, content, or function. (Accessories that are commonly used in alternative fashion, such as harnesses or collars, are permitted).
- Clothing featuring hate speech or symbols.
- Costumes.
